GlobeTel Wireless is focused on solving the ‘last mile’ problem. To accomplish this task, our engineers are working with exciting wireless technologies to deliver broadband services directly to end users’ terminals. Compared with the wired access technologies, broadband wireless access counterparts have their own advantages. They are very convenient for customers due to the fact that they are un-tethered and less restricted by distance. With the state of the art technologies that GlobeTel Wireless is deploying, we can transfer wireless signals up to several tens of miles. Such technology needs almost no cable layout in buildings. IEEE802.11b/g is a very good example. This technology has become very popular in the last several years, and it is now used nearly everywhere such as bus stations, airports, train stations, public buildings and meeting places. But because it is currently being used in point to point configurations such as wireless LAN, its coverage area can be only several hundred meters. In order to enable large distance wireless connections such as wireless WAN, other technologies are required to match this demand.
